RV Mats

Today when we hit the open road especially the interstate highways we will notice that it is no longer the days of the Winnebago. The new road warrior is the motor coach, with their designer colors and luxurious interiors. Often these interiors are more luxurious than most people’s home. Often the coach will have state of the art electronics and GPS systems with air bags for a smooth and comfortable ride.
To accommodate these fancy new recreational vehicles is the modernized rv parks. Every coach will have some type of awning that extended over their entry way. To eliminate dirt and other undesirable debris from the entry way many rver’s are turning to rv mats. These rv mats come in designer colors and patterns that can enhance the rv décor. These mats are durable, easy to clean, portable and can be stored in the compartments of most rv or motor coaches.
So the next time you are out and about on our interstates and you spot these modern coaches honk and let them know how beautiful it is.

Camping Hammocks

Camping enthusiasts that use hammocks instead of a tent argue that the hammock does not leave a camping footprint the way a tent does. If the hammock is hung tree to tree via a web strap there will be no damage done to the bark and will leave no marks on the branches.
After a tent has been pitched the effect in most cases is obvious because of the damage to the soil, grasses or other natural landscape. So those campers that are in favor of the Leave No Trace camping style will certainly like the idea of hammock camping. Not to mention the comfort and the open possibilities of sites because rocks and slope (not to mention most insects while not present a problem.
Some attention may be needed to overcome the drawback and that is the cold. However with a bit of creativity this may not be a big problem. One idea is to open one end of a sleeping bag so the hammock can slid through and be zipped close to provide the necessary warmth and comfort.
Another advantage of camping hammocks is the fact that they are very portable and lightweight making them easy to transport long distances.
So if you think green …the next time you plan a camping trip think hammocks!

Rope Hammocks

A hammock is a wonderful escape for unwinding, relaxing, or taking a nap. There are a variety of different styles of hammocks and colorful designs offering different features and comfort. The popular hammocks are generally made of cotton and including rope type hammocks or fabric style hammocks. Of course the various hammock styles have their pros and cons such as comfort, durability and price. Cotton is often the preferred material for hammocks primarily because of its comfort.
When we think of a hammock generally what comes to mind is the rope hammock. Rope hammocks have the traditional hammock design look and are mostly made of cotton rope. Cotton rope hammocks offer the most comfort of rope hammocks available and will not scratch or itch like synthetic rope hammocks. Cotton rope hammocks are durable and require little maintenance. Rope hammocks usually cost the least amount of money for comfort they offer. Cotton rope hammocks feature great ventilation so it is easy to stay cool even on hot and humid summer days. Cotton rope hammocks are lightweight which makes them perfect for travel or carrying in the backpack. Rope hammocks are ideal for the beach or while camping.
Cotton rope hammocks with a fine weave and small knots are usually more comfortable than rope hammocks with larger holes and large knots that can dig into your back.
Cotton fabric hammocks feature comfort, durability and colorful designs. Fabric hammocks made of cotton offer the most comfort of any fabric type. Cotton will allow air flow around the user’s body better than synthetic materials, although cotton rope hammocks are best for ventilation.

Outdoor Mats

Spring is just around the corner and with it comes a host of outdoor activities that we will enjoy. One of those activities is the outdoor picnic or beach/river outing. It is a scene that has been played out many times in the great outdoors. You spread out the blanket in the backyard or park area only to find within a few minutes it is a messed up or flying about in the wind. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a solution to that problem? Well now there is … reversible outdoor mats that are durable and can be anchored down and will not kill grass. Remember what your lawn looked like after forgetting the blanket etc. that you used for your picnic lunch?
These outdoor mats are constructed of 100% Virgin Polypropylene that has been treated with the best UV-stabilizer available to resist damage from sun exposure. Three straws of varying colors, 1.7mm to 1.9mm in diameter, are tightly woven together for increased strength, thickness, and durability. The 3 foot wide sections are sewn together with extra-strong thread. Reinforced tie-downs are attached at each corner to secure the outdoor mat in high winds. Finally, the edges are trimmed with a heat gun, and a colorful band is sewn around the edges.
So there you have it, durable, lightweight and handy for any type of outing!
